Based on a painting by us which is in turn based on the seminal statues by the Green Man Gatekeeper. The Mari Lwyd is a wassailing folk custom from South Wales involving a hobby horse traditionally made from a horse’s skull mounted on a pole and carried by an individual wearing a sackcloth!
